Full Marathon Run - 7:15 A.M. start north of Deception Pass Bridge - COME RUN THE BRIDGE! 
                            Please note time change for Full Marathon to 7:15 AM
                            Deception Pass Bridge will be closed from approximately 7:10 AM - 7:45 AM

Half Marathon Run - 8:00 A.M. start and end at Windjammer Park (aka: City Beach Park)

Half Marathon Walk - 8:05 A.M. start and end at Windjammer Park (aka: City Beach Park)

Participant Packet Pickup:
It is strongly recommended that participants pick up their race packets at the Expo between 11:00 A.M. and 7:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 14.  If you cannot make it to the Expo, an alternative option may be to have a friend pick up your packet. Please provide a permission slip.  We DO NOT recommend waiting until the morning of race day to pick up your packet at the starting line, if there are long lines, you may miss the start of your race.

EVENT SCHEDULE

Full Maraton Run - 7:15 A.M.  North of Deception Pass Bridge.  The Deception Pass Bridge will be closed from approximately 7:10 AM to 7:45 AM.  Due to time restrictions on road closures, we can only allow for six (6) hours to complete the Full Marathon course. (Minimum age for the full marathon is 16 years old) .

Half Marathon Run - 8:00 A. M.  start at Windjammer Park (no age limit for half marathon).
Half Marathon Walk - 8:05 A. M.  start at Windjammer Park (no age limit for half marathon).

Post-Event Celebration - 10:00 A.M.

Half Marathon Overall Awards - 11:00 A.M.

Marathon Overall Awards - 11:30 A.M.


At the Finish - Both events will Finish on the Oak Harbor waterfront in Windjammer Park
We will have entertainment and lots of cold food available at the finish for no charge to race participants wearing their bibs.  In addition, there will be a no-host beer garden and some hot food (BBQ) for purchase so don't forget to bring some money.  If you plan on purchasing anything from the beer garden please bring valid photo ID with you.

PARKING & SHUTTLE
Full Marathon - Participants will be shuttled to the start line beginning around 5:40 A.M.  The shuttles will pick up participants at Windjammer Park, Coachman Inn, Best Western/Candlewood Suites, and Auld Holland Inn on their route to the starting line at Pass Lake, with shuttles continuing to drive the loop and transport participants.  The last full marathon shuttle will leave for the start line at approximately 6:25 A.M.  Arrive early for the shuttles.  DO NOT attempt to arrive last minute to get on the final shuttle to the start line.  This may result in your missing the shuttle and the start.  Space heaters and Porta Potties will be onsite at the start of the full marathon.  

Please note: There is no parking or vehicle drop offs at the full marathon start line.

Half Marathon - Because there are more participants in the half marathon, participants are encouraged to carpool to Windjammer Park.  Shuttles will be available to provide service back to the Coachman Inn, Best Western/Candlewood Suites, and Auld Holland Inn.  Porta Potties will be onsite at the start of the half marathon.

If parking lots are full, you will need to find street parking.  Please do not block driveways.

It is anticipated that the shuttles will provide service from 10:30 A.M. continuously to 5:00 P.M. from Windjammer Park (Finish Line) back to the Coachman Inn, Best Western/ Candlewood Suites (1 stop) and Auld Holland Inn.

COURSE INFORMATION
Both the full marathon and half marathon courses are USATF sanctioned and certified.  All participants in the full marathon and half marathon events will be chip timed.

The full marathon is a Boston qualifier.

The full marathon course has a six (6) hour participant time limit and is only open to runners.

Course NoticeTHIS IS NOT A CLOSED COURSE, PLEASE BE AWARE.  We will have course marshals stationed throughout the course,  also Chapter I of the Gold Wing Touring Association escorting the event for your safety.

Age-Group Awards
Age-group awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in 10-year age-groups:

  Marathon from age 16 to 70+ (minimum age for Full Marathon is 16 years old).

  Half Marathon from age 14 and under, to 70+.
