Full Marathon Run - 7:30 A.M.. Deception Pass State Park AT S. R. 20 & Rosario Rd. Due to time restrictions on road closures, ONLY RUNNERS may participate in the full marathon. Both runners and walkers may participate in the half marathon.
Half-Marathon Run- 8:00 A. M. WALK-8:05 A. M. on Heller St. adjacent to Oak Harbor High School. (location of the Expo)
WE DO NOT RECOMMEND ATTEMPTING TO DO THIS ON RACE DAY. THE LINES WILL BE LONG AND WE CANNOT DELAY THE START. An alternative may be to have a friend do this for you at Expo.
Saturday APRIL 10, 2010
Noon - 8 pm
Location: Oak Harbor High School, 950 N. W. 2nd Ave.
Directions: From the North, Hwy 20 southbound, turn right on Whidbey Ave., turn right on Heller St. to parking ., follow the signs to Expo. From the South, Hwy 20 northbound, turn left on Whidbey Ave., turn right on Heller St., follow the signs to Expo.
Aid stations will be approximately every two miles and will include water and toilet facilities. In addition, there will be at least two aid stations in each half of the marathon course with Gatorade replenisher drink and GU energy gels.
There is LIMITED parking even for the staff at the marathon start. Further, shuttle buses WILL NOT return to the start line after the event. Participants will park at Oak Harbor High School or the elementary school on Heller St.. Marathon participants will catch their shuttle bus at a designated location at the high school. Half-marathon participants will not require a shuttle as the start will be next to the high school. IF YOU MISS THE BUS, YOU MISSED THE EVENT, NO EXCEPTIONS, NO DROP-OFFS AT THE MARATHON START. PER DOT PERMIT!
Shuttle information:
Please NOTE: Arrive early for the shuttles. DO NOT attempt to arrive at the last minute and get on the final shuttle to the start line. This may result in your missing the shuttle and the start. The last shuttle will depart for the marathon at 6:45 a. m.
This information will also be provided in all participant packets at the Expo on Saturday

Clothing drop will be available at both event start lines.
All marathon and half-marathon finishers will receive custom designed medals. The participants of all events will receive custom designed shirts commemorating their accomplishment.
Age-group awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in 5-year age-groups from Under 20 to 70+.
