Flintstone Park.

SUNDAY - APRIL 11, 2010
FULL MARATHON RUN
- 7:30 A.M.  Deception Pass State Park at Cornet Bay.  Due to time restrictions on road closures, we can only allow for six (6) hours to complete the Full Marathon course. (Minimum age for the Full marathon is 16 years old) .

HALF MARATHON RUN - 8:00 A. M.  North Whidbey Middle School.
HALF MARATHON WALK - 8:05 A. M.  North Whidbey Middle School.

Post-Event Celebration - 10:00 A.M.

Half Marathon Overall Awards - 11:00 A.M.

Marathon Overall Awards - 11:30 A.M.


AT THE FINISH
We will have entertainment and lots of cold food available for no charge at the finish.  In addition, there will be a no-host beer garden and some hot food (BBQ) for purchase so don't forget to bring some money.  If you plan on purchasing anything from the beer garden please bring valid photo ID with you.

Expo, Packet Pickup & Registration
 
5K Fun Run/Walk: Registration and packet pickup will start at 7:30 A.M. on Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Flintstone Park.  If registering for the 5K on the morning of the race, payment method must be Cash or Check.

Please note: Late registrants are not guaranteed a T-shirt at time of registration.

Full and Half Marathon: THERE IS NO DAY-OF-EVENT REGISTRATION.  Packet pickup will be at the Expo.  An alternative option may be to have a friend take care of this for you at Expo.  Depending on available staff, packet pickup may be available prior to each race, at each starting line, on race day.  However, we DO NOT recommend waiting until race day to pick up your packet, if there are long lines, you may miss the start of your race.

Changing Events?  Do this at the Expo.  Only Cash or Check will be accepted for New or Changing Registration.

At this time, there are no transfers or refunds given for any reason, including medical reasons.


Expo - Saturday, APRIL 10, 2010 - Noon - 8:00 P.M.

The Expo will include a large number of vendors and exhibitors and information about the next day's races.  All participants must attend the Expo to pick up their race packets that include the bib numbers, goodies, timing chips and shirts.  No participant confirmation cards will be mailed out prior to the event.  If you cannot make it to the Expo, you can have a friend pick up your packet.  Please provide a permission slip.  Participant registration is available at the Expo.  There is no day-of-event registration for any event. 

Location: Oak Harbor High School Gymnasium and Auxiliary Gym, 950 N.W. 2nd Ave, Oak Harbor, WA.

Directions:
From the North:  Hwy 20 southbound, turn right onto Whidbey Ave., turn right on Jib Ave., follow signs to Expo.

From the South:  Hwy 20 northbound, turn left onto Whidbey Ave., turn right on Jib Ave., follow signs to Expo.

Aid Stations
Aid stations will be approximately every two miles and will include water and toilet facilities. In addition, there will be at least two aid stations in each half of the marathon course with Gatorade replenisher drink and GU energy gels.

Parking and Shuttle Bus
All full marathon participants should park near the finish line at Windjammer Park. (Information will be provided at the Expo and online as soon as available). 

Full marathon participants will be shuttled to the start line starting at 6:00 A.M. with shuttles continuing to drive the loop and transport participants.  The last full marathon shuttle will leave for the start line at 6:40 A.M.  Arrive early for the shuttles. DO NOT attempt to arrive at the last minute and get on the final shuttle to the start line. This may result in your missing the shuttle and the start. 

Half marathon participants are urged to carpool to start line and shuttles will be provided back to start area for vehicle pick up.

Please Note: There is no parking or vehicle drop offs allowed at the full marathon start line.

Clothing Drop
Clothing drop will be available at both marathon event start lines.  All bags will be transported to the finish are for pick up.  Do Not leave valuables in drop bags, as the event will not be held responsible for their loss.

Participant Premiums
All marathon and half-marathon finishers will receive:
* A customized finisher's medal
* A finisher's tech fabric shirt (Shirt sizes guaranteed if registered by February 17, 2010)
* On-course aid stations stocked with Talking Rain water, Gatorade, energy gels and drinks.

Age-Group Awards
Age-group awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in 5-year age-groups:

Full Marathon from age 16 to 70+ (minimum age for Full Marathon is 16 years old).

Half Marathon from age 14 and under, to 70+.

Over $5,000 for Top Finishers!

Medal awards given to all finishers!

Can I bring my...?

Can I bring my dog?
No.  Dogs are not allowed on any of the courses.

Can I bring my baby in a stroller/jogger?
Strollers/joggers will only be allowed on the 5K Fun Run/Walk course.  We ask that walkers and parties with wheelchairs and strollers start toward the end of the line to reduce crowding and allow runners to achieve their best time.

Can I bring my bike/skates/skateboard?
No wheels are allowed on any course except for registered wheelchairs and official course vehicles.

Can I bring my MP3 player?
WIM will allow headsets on the course only if it does not pose a safety risk.  For safety reasons, it may be necessary for a course official to ask you to remove your headset/earphones during the race.  You are required to comply or face disqualification and removal from the course.
