Start
Full Marathon Run - 8a.m. Cornet Bay at the North end of Whidbey Island.  Due to time restrictions on road closures, only runners may participate in the full marathon. Both runners and walkers may participate in the half marathon.
Half-Marathon Run/Walk - 8:30 a.m. on Heller St. adjacent to Oak Harbor high School.  (location of the Expo)

Expo, Packet Pickup & Registration

Saturday April 12, 2008
Noon - 8 pm
Location: Oak Harbor High School, 950 N. W. 2nd Ave.
Directions: From the North, Hwy 20 southbound, turn right on Whidbey Ave., turn right on Jib St., follow the signs to Expo. From the South, Hwy 20 northbound, turn left on Whidbey Ave., turn right on Jib St., follow the signs to Expo.

Aid Stations
Aid stations will be approximately every two miles and will include water and toilet facilities. In addition, there will be two aid stations in each half of the marathon course which Gatorade replenisher drinks.

Shuttle Bus
There is LIMITED parking at the marathon start at Cornet Bay Further, shuttle buses WILL NOT return to the start line after the event.  Participants will park at Oak Harbor High School or the elementary school on Heller St..  Marathon participants will catch their shuttle bus at a designated location at the high school.  Half-marathon participants will not require a shuttle as the start will be next to the high school.

Shuttle information:

Please NOTE:  Arrive early for the shuttles. DO NOT attempt to arrive at the last minute and get on the final shuttle to the start line. This may result in your missing the shuttle and the start. The last shuttle will depart for the marathon at 7:15 a. m.

Clothing Drop
Clothing drop will be available at the marathon start.  Half marathon participants may leave their bags in the designated clothing drop area in the grandstands.

Runner Premiums
All marathon and half-marathon finishers will receive custom designed medallions made from 100% recycled glass. The participants of all events will also receive a high-quality sports focused running shirt made from bamboo and organic cotton commemorating their accomplishment.

Finish Line Festivities 
The finish line festivities will take place in the new Wildcat Memorial Stadium at the Oak Harbor High School. Ultramarathon Man Dean Karnazes will serve as the master of ceremony for the finish line area greeting you as you come across the finish line and hosting the awards ceremony. Keep an eye out for him and say hi.

Age-Group Awards
Age-group awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in 5-year age-groups from Under 20 to 70+.

The 2009 event will take place MARCH 29TH.
